Surface Protection:
Our outdoor saunas are sprayed with a protective layer of wood wax oil,it is an eco-friendly finish made from natural plant oils and waxes that penetrates and nourishes wood to reduce moisture-driven swelling and shrinkage and help prevent warping and cracking, while its slightly volatile oils can absorb into the wood and cause surface color to fade over time.
Expected Appearance Changes
Due to climate variations and local differences in wood density, localized fading may appear about 3-6 months after installation. Even with uniform application, lower-density areas can turn slightly white first because more oil is absorbed beneath the surface, leaving a thinner film. This usually does not reduce protection but affects appearance.
Application Method
Before coating, sand lightly with ≥200-grit abrasive for better adhesion and a smoother finish and Remove all dust thoroughly prior to brushing.
Use a brush to minimize exposure and avoid contaminating glass. Pre-treat heavily faded areas with a spot coat; after about one hour, apply a full, even coat over the entire surface,that would be better.
Surface curing:
Cure 24 hours before normal use (including rain).
Important Note:
For outdoor saunas, use open-pore breathable paints (e.g.,wood wax oils) to maintain the wood's natural breathing ability. In severe weather (e.g., strong winds), secure the glass door to prevent damage. Damage from uncontrollable factors is not covered under warranty.
